Booking a model in Marrakech is simpler than most productions expect. You don’t need a finished treatment or a long casting process to get started: a few clear answers about dates, location and usage are enough for an agency to tell you who is available and what it will cost. This guide walks you through the process step by step, from the first message to the day on set.

1. Start with the essentials of your brief

Before you contact an agency, take five minutes to note down the basics. They are the questions any booker will ask first, and answering them up front saves a round of emails.

  • Dates. The shoot day or days, plus any travel or fitting days. If your dates are not fixed yet, give a window.
  • Location. Marrakech city, a hotel or riad, the Agafay desert, the Atlas, or somewhere else in Morocco. Travel time affects the length of the model’s day.
  • Type of project. Editorial, lookbook, e-commerce, beauty, campaign, hotel or hospitality content, video.
  • The look. Women, men or both; the age range, style and mood you want. References or a mood board help a lot.
  • Usage. Where and how long the images will be used: social media, website, print, outdoor, and in which countries.
  • Budget. If you have one, share it. It helps the agency suggest the right models instead of guessing.

A full brief is not required. At Emporio Models Marrakech we are happy to help you shape it, and many requests start with a single WhatsApp message.

2. Choose models or ask for a selection

You can browse the boards yourself. Our women and men boards show every model’s measurements and book, and the In Town filter shows who is in Marrakech right now. Each profile has a “Book this model” button and a one-page comp card you can download as a PDF and share with your client or photographer.

If you would rather not search, send us the brief and ask for a selection. When the brief is specific, we match models to it rather than sending the whole board. A short, relevant shortlist is faster for everyone than forty profiles to sort through.

3. Local models and international models in town

Marrakech has two kinds of talent, and it helps to know the difference when you plan.

Local models are Moroccan faces based in Marrakech. They are available for direct bookings, tests, lookbooks and campaigns throughout the year.

International models in town come from the Emporio Models network and stay in Marrakech for a set period, open for work while they are here. Their availability depends on their dates in the city, so if you have a particular face in mind, ask early.

4. Ask for a quote: what affects the rate

Model fees are quoted on request, and for good reason: two shoots on the same day can have very different prices. The main factors are:

  • The model and their experience.
  • The length of the shoot: a half day, a full day or several days, plus any travel time outside Marrakech.
  • The type of project: editorial work is priced differently from commercial or advertising work.
  • Usage (also called buyout): the media, the territories and the duration for which you will use the images. An image used on a brand’s Instagram for a few months is not the same as a national billboard campaign.

The clearer your usage, the more accurate the quote. If you are not sure yet, say so; we can quote several options so you can decide with your client.

5. Option, then confirm

When you are close to a decision but still waiting for a green light, ask for an option. An option holds a model’s dates for you while you finalise the project. It is not a confirmed booking.

The booking is confirmed once the dates, the fee and the usage have been agreed in writing. At that point, share the practical details: call time, address, contact on set, and anything the model should bring or prepare.

6. Prepare the shoot day

A few details make a big difference on the day itself:

  • A clear call sheet with the call time, location pin, and a phone number that will answer.
  • Sizes in advance. Measurements are on every profile; send them to your stylist early so the fittings go quickly.
  • Heat and light. In the warmer months, plan the outdoor looks for early morning and late afternoon, and give the team shade and water. Our guide to shooting fashion in Marrakech covers seasons and locations.
  • Changing space. Riads and hotels usually have a room you can use; on location, plan a private space.

7. After the shoot

Once the images are delivered, keep to the usage you agreed. If the client later wants to extend it, for example from social media to print or to a new country, ask the agency for an extension rather than assuming it is included. And if the shoot went well, tell us: it helps us suggest the right faces next time.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I book a model in Marrakech?

As early as you can, especially for international models who are in the city for a limited period. Last-minute requests are possible: mention your dates in the first message and we will tell you who is available.

Can you book models for shoots outside Marrakech?

Yes. We are based in Marrakech and book models for shoots across Morocco, from Casablanca and Rabat to Agadir, Essaouira and the desert.

Do you publish rates?

No. Every booking is quoted on request, because the rate depends on the model, the project, the length of the shoot and the usage. You can find more answers in our FAQ.

Ready to book?

Send us your dates, location and the look you have in mind through our contact page, by email or on WhatsApp, and we will come back to you with availability and a quote. And if you are a model looking for representation in Marrakech, you can apply to become a model.
