Everything clients and new faces ask us most: how booking works in Marrakech and across Morocco, how quotes are put together, who is in town, where and when to shoot, and how to apply.
Booking models in Marrakech & Morocco
How do I book a model in Marrakech?
Send us your request through the contact form, by email or on WhatsApp. You can also open any model’s profile on our women or men boards and choose “Book this model”. We confirm availability and come back to you with a quote. Our step-by-step guide explains the whole process: how to book a model in Marrakech.
What should I include in a booking request?
The shoot date or dates, the location, the type of project, the models or look you have in mind, how and where the images will be used, and your budget if you have one. A full brief is not required to get started; we are happy to help you shape it.
How much does it cost to book a model?
Every booking is quoted on request. Rates depend on the model, the type of project, the length of the shoot and how the images will be used (usage): for example editorial, e-commerce or advertising, the media, the territories and the duration. Share your brief and we will send you a tailored quote.
Can I put a model on hold before confirming?
Yes. Tell us your dates and we can place an option on a model while you finalise your project. An option is not a confirmed booking: the booking is only confirmed once the dates, the fee and the usage have been agreed in writing.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as you can, especially for international models who are in Marrakech for a set period. Last-minute requests are welcome too: mention your dates in your first message or message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you straight away who is available.
Do you work outside Marrakech?
Yes. We are based in Marrakech and book models for shoots across Morocco, from Casablanca and Rabat to Agadir, Essaouira and the desert. Tell us where you are shooting and we will plan around it.
Can you suggest models for my brief?
Yes. If the brief is specific, we match models to it rather than send a full board. Send us the mood, the product and any references, and we will come back with a short selection.
Can I request a casting?
Yes. Tell us what you are casting for, your dates and the profiles you need, and we will organise a selection of suitable models. Include it in your message through the contact form.
How quickly do you reply?
We reply as soon as possible. If your shoot is coming up soon, mention the dates in your message or contact us on WhatsApp.
Our models
Do you represent Moroccan models?
Yes. We represent Moroccan faces based in Marrakech, available for direct bookings, tests, lookbooks and campaigns, alongside international models.
Do you have international models in Marrakech?
Can I download a model’s comp card?
Yes. Every model profile has a “Comp card (PDF)” button that gives you the model’s name, measurements and selected photos on one page, ready to share with your team.
Becoming a model
How can I become a model with Emporio?
Apply on our Be a Model page with your details, your measurements and four digitals: front, profile, full length and smile. Our team reviews applications, and if your profile fits what we are looking for, we will get in touch.
Do I need modelling experience?
No. We are always open to new faces, and no previous modelling experience is needed to apply. What matters is clear, recent photos and accurate measurements.
How old do I need to be?
Our current board focuses on adult women and men. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian should contact us before you apply. For projects involving children or teenagers, clients can send us the brief and we will let them know what we can arrange.
Is there a minimum height?
We don’t list a fixed minimum on our application. Height matters more for runway and high fashion than for commercial work, so simply give us your real height and measurements; the application includes a height verification video so we can confirm them. Read more in becoming a model in Morocco: what agencies look for.
What are digitals and which photos should I send?
Digitals are simple, unretouched photos that show how you look today: natural light, a plain background, little or no make-up and fitted clothes. We ask for four: front (face), profile (side), full length and smile, in JPG, PNG or HEIC, up to 10 MB each. Our guide shows you how to take model digitals at home.
Do I have to pay to apply?
No. Applying through our Be a Model form is free. If anyone asks you for money in the name of Emporio Models Marrakech, check with us first using the official contacts on this website.
I already have an agency. Can I still apply?
Yes. The application asks whether you are signed with a mother agency, so just tell us who represents you and we will take it into account.
What happens after I apply?
Our team reviews every application. If your profile fits what we are looking for, we will contact you by email or WhatsApp to talk about the next steps.
Shooting in Marrakech
When is the best time of year to shoot in Marrakech?
Spring and autumn are the most comfortable seasons, with mild temperatures and soft light. Summer is often very hot in the middle of the day, so shoots move to early morning and late afternoon. Winter days are usually sunny and mild but mornings and evenings are cold, and there can be snow on the High Atlas. See our guide to shooting fashion in Marrakech.
Where can we shoot in and around Marrakech?
The medina and its riads, gardens, hotels and villas in the Palmeraie, the Agafay stone desert, the Atlas mountains and valleys, and, further out, Essaouira on the coast and the dunes of the Sahara. Each needs its own planning for access and travel time.
Do I need a permit to shoot in Marrakech?
It depends on the project. Private locations such as riads, hotels and villas need the owner’s agreement; monuments, public spaces and drones generally need prior authorisation, and film and video productions in Morocco are overseen by the Centre Cinématographique Marocain (CCM). Rules can change, so check with a local production company before you shoot.
